The Holiday Season is upon us; a time when we will likely be doing lots of shopping as we buy presents for our families, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. As we enter this season of giving it is my hope that we would be especially sensitive to the needs of those less fortunate than ourselves, not only in our communities and our county, but even around the world. As we walk through our current teaching series, "A Season Of Giving", we are encouraging everyone to do some shopping in The Samaritan's Purse Gift Catalogue. This catalogue provides opportunities for us to bless people around the world by not only meeting real needs, but also sharing the love of Christ. Perhaps this Christmas season, instaed of receiving yet another sweater you may never wear, you could simply ask someone to purchase one of the gifts from the catalogue instead. Be sure to mark your calendars for the Children's Christmas program on December 14, our Church Christmas Party on December 20, and our very special Christmas Eve service on December 24.
